Beginning ASL 2

Service Description

Six 1-hour weekly classes via live video conferencing. Class Size: Minimum 2, Maximum 11. COURSE DESCRIPTION This course builds on your knowledge and skills of basic beginning-level ASL. Participants begin to identify and develop their unique style and tendencies in ASL. By the completion of this course, participants will get instruction in utilizing and expanding on 3-D space, and gain skill in conversational ability in ASL.  COURSE CONTENT Students will receive instruction in how to sign: Commands & requests in both demanding and humble contexts. Expressing yourself & your feelings. Setting context with a topic. Conveying time & tense. Numbers 13-20. Visual descriptions of physical appearance, personality & character. ASL grammatical structure of adjectives, use of modals, & verb pairs. Skill-building in fingerspelling proper nouns.
