ASL for Beginners: Series 1 (5:00PM ET)

Service Description

6-Week Course. Weekly 50-minute sessions. Get rewarding results from taking an American Sign Language class from an ASL pro who is committed to your success! All of our instructors are experienced and certified sign language interpreters, teachers, linguists, and native signers. In these six sessions, participants will get a basic introduction and background of American Sign Language, and will build skills in basic conversational ASL. CONTENT: In these six sessions, students will receive instruction in basic ASL grammar & conversational ASL which include: - Navigating encounters; communicating about learning sign language. - Greetings & introductions. - Basic ASL grammar structure; Culture training. - Simple affirmative & negative sentences with related facial expressions & body language. - Asking for more information & showing you understand. - Introduction to Fingerspelling the Alphabet & Numbers. Class Size: Minimum 2 participants required, Maximum 12 participants.
